cloth is all about creating contemporary high quality fabric for the home. We design and make locally by hand using only natural basecloths and we make our fabric to last.
The fabric is grouped into two categories according to the basecloth weight and end use. Furnishingcloth uses the heavier weights and Workingcloth uses the lighter weight blends. Both ranges have a printed width of no less than 135 cm.
Furnishingcloth
The heavyweights in this range are very durable, high quality linens and hemps. We use these fabrics specifically for upholstery and loose covers. But because of the lovely texture and drape we often use it for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. Furnishingcloth is available by the metre, as remnants and as finished products. We currently have about 25 designs in this range all with at least 3 colourways each. The collection is a standard stock product so is always available, sometimes with a leadtime whilst we print a new batch. In addition we often try out new colourways and basecloths so regularly have sample lengths and end rolls available too.
Workingcloth
This lighter weight linen cotton works really well for those who enjoy making things themselves. Quilters, crafters and makers make a bee line for this range.
Easy to sew and good for cushions, tablecloths, soft furnishings, clothing and curtains. Available by the metre, as end rolls, remnants, fat quarter packs and as finished products. This collection is always changing as we regularly add and subtract prints and colours from the range.
