Once washed the printed area will wear into the grain of the fabric to give a relaxed, worn-in look.
Iron when the fabric is slightly damp.
Use a very hot iron on reverse side.
When washing removable covers, for a great fit, put back on before bone dry.
Always keep the fabric out of the direct sun.
Notes about the process
Our fabrics are made by hand. This means there could be slight differences in colour and weave from batch to batch. There could also be small imperfections in the printing and the weave. These are the details that add individuality and soul to the fabric, showing the craft of the process.
Notes about the fabric
We generally use pure, hard wearing hemp and linen.
Hemp is made from the longest and strongest natural plant fibre.
It has 8 times the tensile strength and 4 times the durability of cotton.
Hemp is naturally mould resistant, so is good for use outside under cover.
It needs neither pesticide nor fertilizer and very little water to grow.
The fabrics are prewashed, vat dyed and flatbed screenprinted by hand in 20 meter runs.
We put no special finishes on the fabrics but stain release and fire retarding is available.
