cloth on call – a relaxed design service that comes to you

We get many people in the shop asking for our opinion about how to decorate their own homes. They love the cloth products but get a bit overwhelmed with possibilities when making their final decisions.  This is understandable – there is definitely an art to it.

So relax people. Go home, put the kettle on and your feet up. We can help you.

Kate, our retail manager and interior design consultant will bring her expertise to your place and, over a nice cup of tea, will listen and look, think and feel, just for you. Your questions, your ideas, your concerns can all be heard in the comfort of your own home.

- Should you keep that old rug you bought a million years ago on holiday?
- What should you put on that big blank wall you’ve been staring at for too long?
- Is that old blue sofa you’ve kept since Uni worth recovering or throwing out?
- Should the new curtains coordinate with the art on the walls?
- Exactly what is the point of a feature wall?

The aim is to identify the best of what you have at home already, integrating this with key cloth pieces and alternative accessories.
New solutions will be reached together, creating a stylish new look you always thought you had but were too confused to see. And in a gentle, friendly way that feels like it was your idea all along.

The costs

There is a call out charge of $200 (within a 15 km radius of Sydney.*)
This covers the first two hours of Kate’s time including travel there and back.
If you own a mansion for example and need additional consultation, time is charged at $150/hr.

The process

Kate will discuss what you have in your home already, what you love about it, what you hate. She will ask about the things you want and don’t yet have.
She will bring cloth sample books along and talk about colour and composition texture and feel.
She will measure up the space, take some photos and go home.
She will follow up with concepts that include estimates on price, colour and design guidance and mocked up schemes – formalising the ideas that were discussed at the meeting.
You then have a think and make a choice.
Then Kate gives you a final quote, you give her a deposit and you are on your way to a new home.

The products

As well as producing fabric for upholstery, we make blinds and curtains to measure. We make lampshades, cushions, rugs, bedthrows, wallpaper and really nice artwork.
And all of it works in harmony together or as stand alone pieces.
