cloth: native is our new collection of furnishing fabrics. Based on local indigenous plants and birdlife, Julie has
developed the images that she saw outside her shed in the Blue Mountains into a collection of three new prints:
Kangaroo Paw, Banksia and Currawong. Available in heavy and light weight hemp, the collection is suitable for upholstery, drapery and soft furnishing.
cloth has released a new collection of rugs, Drawn from the Land, in collaboration with leading specialist rug makers, Designer Rugs. Julie created this range from a selection of her favourite cloth fabric designs. We recently launched this new collection with a great evening held at Global Gallery in Paddington. A second rug collection will be released at the end of July as a part of Indesign.
cloth has launched the ‘Looking for Water’ Zaishu, a slot together seat/table featuring unique and collectable artwork by local and international artists and designers. The new Zaishu is a response by Julie to Australia’s drought. The teardrop motif reflects the shrinking dams and the deep scars that the livestock make as they walk the same track leading to the water.
cloth has collaborated with Hardie Grant Publishing, contributing imagery to the new Margaret Fulton cookbook. Spanning a lifetime of cooking, this fresh, modern collection features Margaret Fulton's best, most loved recipes alongside Julie’s designs selected from the cloth fabric range. We have copies of the book for sale in the cloth shop.
